Refund Policy

This policy is governed by English law and is designed to be compliant with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
1. What Are Credits?
Credits are prepaid digital tokens that you purchase in advance and spend to use AGarageNearMe.co.uk's information features. Credits are denominated in pounds sterling (GBP) and are applied against your account balance.
2. Your Statutory Cancellation Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day “cooling off” right to cancel purchases made online. However, this right does not apply to digital content where:
- You have expressly agreed that performance of the contract should begin before the end of the 14-day period; and
- You have acknowledged that you will lose your cancellation right once the contract has been fully performed.
When you purchase credits on AGarageNearMe.co.uk, you agree that the digital service begins immediately and acknowledge that if you have already used any credits, your right to cancel is lost in respect of the credits used. For any unused credits within the 14-day period, you retain the right to cancel and request a refund.
3. Refund Eligibility
We will offer a refund in the following circumstances:
3.1 Unused Credits within 14 Days
If you have purchased credits and have not used any, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. This is your statutory cancellation right.
3.2 Partially Unused Credits within 14 Days
If you have used some credits within the 14-day period, you may request a refund for the unused portion only.
3.3 Technical Failure
If a technical fault on our part prevented you from using credits you had paid for, we will refund the affected credits upon investigation and confirmation.
3.4 Duplicate Purchase
If you were charged more than once for the same purchase due to a payment error, we will refund the duplicate charge.
3.5 Our Discretion
We may, at our sole discretion, offer refunds or account credits in exceptional circumstances not covered above. This does not create an obligation or precedent.
4. Non-Refundable Circumstances
We will not provide refunds in the following circumstances:
- Credits that have been used (consumed through interactions with the Service);
- Purchases made more than 14 days ago (subject to statutory exceptions);
- Dissatisfaction with the quality of information provided (as the Service is informational only and no specific outcome is guaranteed);
- Refunds requested on the basis that information from AGarageNearMe.co.uk turned out to be inaccurate or unhelpful — this is the nature of an informational service;
- Circumstances resulting from breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy;
- Service fees and platform charges, which are non-refundable.

Please include in your request:
- Your registered email address;
- The date and approximate amount of the purchase;
- The reason for your refund request;
- Any relevant transaction reference number (available from your account).
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days.
6. Refund Method
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider (typically 3–10 business days). We are unable to issue refunds to a different payment method.
7. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law. If you believe your statutory rights have not been honoured, you may contact the Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards for guidance.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will not apply retrospectively to purchases already made.
