1. About AGarageNearMe.co.uk and Who We Are
AGarageNearMe.co.uk (“the Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by:


AGarageNearMe.co.uk is a conversational information platform that helps vehicle owners in the United Kingdom explore information about their cars. We use automated technology to gather and present publicly available vehicle and automotive information in a conversational format — similar to asking a knowledgeable friend about your car.
We are not a garage, mechanical workshop, engineering firm, or regulated financial service. We do not provide professional advice of any kind.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using AGarageNearMe.co.uk in any way, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age;
- Have read and understood these Terms of Service;
- Accept and agree to be bound by these Terms;
- Have read and accepted our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, Disclaimer, and Acceptable Use Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
3. Nature of the Service — Information Only
Specifically, you acknowledge that:
- Mechanical information: Any information relating to vehicle faults, repairs, parts, or maintenance presented through AGarageNearMe.co.uk is general information only. It is not a diagnosis of your specific vehicle. You must always have your vehicle physically inspected by a suitably qualified mechanic or engineer before undertaking any repair, modification, or significant expenditure.
- Financial information: Any information relating to vehicle finance, hire purchase, personal contract purchase (PCP), personal contract hire (PCH), insurance, or any other financial product is general information only. It is not regulated financial advice. You must consult an appropriately authorised financial adviser who can take into account your personal circumstances before making any financial decision.
- AI-generated content: Responses are generated by automated systems that aggregate information from public sources. This information may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific vehicle or situation. We make no guarantee as to its accuracy or suitability.
- No relationship created: Use of this Service does not create a client-adviser, mechanic-customer, or any other professional relationship between you and MARVIN LUMIC LIMITED.
4. Account Activation, Access Fees, and Payment
4.1 What is Account Activation?
Access to the specialised vehicle diagnostics feature on AGarageNearMe.co.uk (the “Service Feature”) requires a one-time Account Activation. Activation grants you access to the Service Feature during the Activation Period (defined below) subject to these Terms.
4.2 Activation Fee
The current Account Activation fee is £9.99 (inclusive of VAT where applicable). By proceeding with payment, you authorise MARVIN LUMIC LIMITED to charge this amount to your chosen payment method via our secure payment provider.
We reserve the right to amend the Activation Fee at any time. Any pricing changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance and will not affect activations already purchased.
4.3 Activation Period and Expiry
Each Account Activation is valid for the Activation Period, which ends on whichever of the following occurs first:
- 12 months from the date of your activation payment; or
- 250 Service Feature interactions (i.e. 250 individual queries submitted to the vehicle diagnostics feature).
Once the Activation Period ends, you will no longer have access to the Service Feature until you purchase a new Account Activation. Your account, vehicle data, and diagnostic history will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4.4 Recharging — Purchasing a New Activation
You may purchase a new Account Activation at any time — both before and after your current Activation Period expires. A new activation will begin a fresh 12-month period with a fresh 250-interaction allowance from the date of that payment.
4.5 Non-Refundable Nature of Activations
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel digital content or service purchases. However, this right does not apply where you have expressly consented to the digital service commencing immediately and acknowledged that you lose your right to cancel once the service has been performed.
By clicking “Activate account” and completing payment, you expressly request that the Service Feature is made available to you immediately, and you acknowledge that once you have made your first use of the Service Feature (i.e. submitted your first query), your statutory right to cancel that activation is lost and the Activation Fee becomes non-refundable.
If you have paid but have not yet made any use of the Service Feature, you retain the right to cancel and request a full refund within 14 days of payment. See our Refund Policy for details.
Activations have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money.
4.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change Activation pricing at any time. Any changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance and will not affect activations already purchased.
5. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately at contact @ agaragenearme.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One account per person — creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
6. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, software, and materials on AGarageNearMe.co.uk (excluding user-uploaded content) are the property of MARVIN LUMIC LIMITED or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
By uploading photographs or other content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process that content for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
Without limiting the above:
- We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle arising from following or not following information presented on AGarageNearMe.co.uk.
- We are not liable for any financial loss arising from decisions made based on information presented on AGarageNearMe.co.uk.
- We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated or aggregated content.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount of credits you have purchased in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

10. Data Protection and Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Our collection, use, and processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
11. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease immediately.
- Unused credits may be forfeited, subject to applicable consumer law.
- We will retain data as required by law and as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by email to the address registered on your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Where required by law, we will ask you to explicitly accept the updated Terms before you can continue using the Service.
We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom, you have certain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer protection legislation. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit those statutory rights.
